Helen (McRorie) McRae, beloved wife of the late Donald MacGregor McRae, dear mother of Janet & Mark Webber, Robert & Rachel, John & Val and Catherine & Michael Freeman, grandmother of Jamie & Beth McRae, Michael & Manique McRae, Maggie McRae & James Pammett, Jenny & Mark Cooper, Cameron, Duncan and Gill McRae, David Freeman & Luba Petersen and Sarah Freeman, great grandmother of Madeline and Samuel McRae, Hannah and Erica McRae and Taylor, William, Allison and Georgia Cooper. Helen was predeceased by her parents, Wilbur and Agnes (Campbell) McRorie and by her siblings, Florence Main and William McRorie. After graduating from the faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto in 1937, Helen worked at a number of Red Cross outpost hospitals in Northern Ontario. She married Donald in September, 1945 and settled in Whitney where she devoted herself to her family and community. In retirement, she and Donald spent their winters in Florida and became golfers. She was an avid reader with a wry sense of humour and a loving heart
