Valerie Smith

Dear Joe, Tammy and Lyle and Family and Teri and Chris and Family: Mel and I are so very sorry to hear of your recent loss and we send our deepest sympathy. We know she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Over the years that we have known your family, we recognised how much you all loved her and how much she loved and cared about her family. We are sure she appreciated all the time you were able to spend with her during her final days. She was a well-respected lady in the community who will be very much missed by everyone who knew her. There is nothing we can say to ease your pain, however; perhaps now is a good time to remember the words of Dr. Seuss – “Do not cry because it is over.....Smile because it happened.” We were all truly blessed to have known Donna and perhaps it time to reflect upon and smile about those meaningful times spent with her. I know my cherished memory was a walk along the Rail Trail with her….she truly respected nature and loved to capture it through the lens of her camera. I will always smile when I recall the time shared with her that day. With heartfelt sympathy, Mel and Valerie Smith
