Val Gaebel (Penny West)

I have such fond memories of Dean from Enoch Turner times, the fund raisers - Christmas dinners, auctions, numerous events and of course the countless numbers of weddings. I provided all the flowers and decor for the events and Dean was always there to lend a helping hand with a smile & encouragement. Have visited Dean many summers at the nursing home. About 3 years ago when I visited I kept saying my name to him, held a sunflower beside my face and said Enoch Turner. After repeating it a number of times he got it, his eyes lit up, he tried to say my name and pulled my hand close to him. I was blessed even if it was for just a brief moment. He would be so thrilled to know that I married Keith Gaebel, Joan & Barrie's cousin. The material for L'Amable church, St. Andrews came from Keith's grandfather's farm. So blessed that our lives connected while on this earth. I imagine he has even a greater love for classical music as he will be in the presence of our Lord. Loved you Dean
